He probably would’ve been nominated regardless of his death, but I will acknowledge that him dying most likely helped his chances of actually winning. Still, he deserved it. Either you think he gave the best performance of the nominees and he deserved to win or you think someone else was better and he didn't deserve to win.  I believe he did deserve to win, but the Academy most likely wouldn’t have let him win if it hadn’t been for his death.  |
