That actually sounds like a much lazier ending than having Batman willingly take the blame, especially on the count of all the questions it would raise. A less lazy ending would've not wasted Harvey like that and made him the villain for the third movie. They were going to have him be the villian of the third movie, but Nolan ultimately decided that he wanted TDK to be one complete movie. That’s why they killed of Two-Face. It had nothing to do with laziness. |
