Yeah, I remember that. Super Series '76. The Sabres flat out crushed one of the Russian teams 12-6. It wasn't CSKA, the team that the Flyers beat, but a team made up of other great players from Soviet teams that weren't Red Army.

....before my time - somebody correct me if I'm wrong - but my Dad told me the Russians refused to take the ice after an intermission because the Broad Street Bullies roughed them up so much.

my old man used to work concessions at Flyers games at the old Spectrum in Philly.

really wish that Rob Zombie film got a greenlight - he was making a movie about the Broad Street Bullies - it got shelved....
