....before my time - somebody correct me if I'm wrong - but my Dad told me the Russians refused to take the ice after an intermission because the Broad Street Bullies roughed them up so much. my old man used to work concessions at Flyers games at the old Spectrum in Philly. really wish that Rob Zombie film got a greenlight - he was making a movie about the Broad Street Bullies - it got shelved.... True. I now remember it. The Flyers were thumping the Russkies around and the Soviet coach either pulled the team off the ice or refused to come out after intermission. All that did was fire up the crown even more. The Flyers fans were insane. You won't see anything like that again. On a national level, the US can't work up that much hatred for another country. Even if we played North Korea or Iran, it wouldn't reach that level. That was still the days when you had the "Duck and Cover" drills in school. Hide under the wooden desk, kiddies. that will protect you if (when) the Russians drop the big one on us.  that's awesome - so there were special drills for that? me when corporate shows up:
