Probably not that much. This image got around a lot because it came from Forbes. They estimated that it was going to lose $50 million but that was based on the expectation that it was going to gross $635 million.  Well it did better than expected and finished with $657 million so it may not have lost a significant amount. And seeing as Wonder Woman made $300 million profit, DC still came out of the year with a significant profit. So, it was going to lose 50 millions. It made 22 million more than projected of which the studio only gets part. So, still lost between 30-40 millions. Wow! What baffles me is that, it is common knowledge that with the re-shots the budged of JL went to 300 millions. Then you got some fans trying to bring it down to 250. What's the purpose of lying to themselves (because they are not fooling anyone else) and being delusional? It is probable that JL hadn't even lost any money when everything is accounted for, but why change numbers to fit their distorted reality? I would never understand DC fans... |
