I actually hate the term LGBT. I don't even like the word "gay", it makes it sound as if we run around with a silly smile on our face 24/7.
Queer is the term used now by most politically aware homosexuals. And I personally don't object to the word homosexual either. Or you can call me Mr. Homo.
