I first noticed a problem when Wonder Woman was getting good reviews. You would think that DC fans would be happy that a DCEU movie was finally getting good reviews. Instead I saw many fanboys whining that the movie was only getting good reviews because "SJWs" were afraid to give a movie with a female lead a bad review. (Because we all remember those good reviews that Catwoman and Elektra got, amiright?) Then, after news that Ava DuVernay was in talks to direct a New Gods film, I saw fanboys saying things like, "I hope the movie flops so her career is tarnished". So fans of a movie universe are hoping that a movie in that universe flops...just because a black woman is directing it? (And yes, moat of the negative comments I saw mentioned her race, so it's safe to say that this was the problem they had with it.) 1. This attitude is not limited to just DC fans 2. I don't think this is actually sexism/racism but more an anti-SJW or anti-PC thing. I mean, they're not attacking Wonder Woman because the movie has a female lead. They're attacking it because they think it's being unfairly praised due to having a female lead. The difference is subtle but it is still a difference.
