Biggest upset by the odds, Rulon Gardner beating Alexandr Karelin in wrestling at the 2000 Olympics. Karelin was never been pointed let alone beat.
I'm seeing +1750 for the Miracle on Ice. That's 17.5/1 in British parlance. Seems about right. One chance in 18.5. c.f. 5000/1 (+500000 in Vegas odds) available on Leicester City at the start of the season.
