Yeah, the first Russian roulette scene is tough to sit through. Just think back to when John Savage hears the gunshot and starts screaming. When I saw it in the theater in '78, audiences sat frozen as the triggers were slowly pulled. You could hear metal grinding. There were audible gasps when the hammer came down on an empty chamber. |
