Nobody says you cannot keep your own culture, while following a particular religion. There are all kinds of cultures. There are national cultures; cultures centred on race; even cultures centred on languages. You can belong to more than one culture at the same time. As a Christian, & more specifically a Catholic, I belong to the same religious culture as Maya. However, Maya is an American, while I am a Canadian. Skyhawke is a Canadian, but, he is both a Buddhist & an atheist. But, we belong to the same NATIONAL culture. All I'm saying is religion doesn't need a culture and isn't necessarily a culture depending on how integrated it is to others. I don;t think there is any doubt that individuals can be multi-cultural. Perhaps not, but, that is how I define religion.
