I think it's more where they started them and what stories they used. Why start out with Doomsday and use KGBeast instead of making him John Corben and Metallo for the end? Why start Batman with The Dark Knight Returns? They should have treated this like the superhero world is fairly new. Right? Scoot McNairy's character was tailor made for a Metallo story arc! Even him! I was meaning "kill" off the guy working for Luthor in that village when Superman saves Lois (KGBeast), but they could have used Scoot, also. Did they really name a character that then put him in a wheelchair? But yeah his story could totally work for Metallo. He had a major hate for Superman and would have done that to get back at him. Wow... Now thinking about it, they laid the groundwork for a Metallo movie then went into a totally different direction. |
