Was forced by my mom to wear hats as a kid.
In adult life, I've been guided by my father's observation. He said if you wear a hat when it's cold for warmth, and then you don't wear a hat when it's cold, you will get sick.
I found that to be true early in my adult life.
Now, I only wear a hat when I'm in the mood. Actually, my former Canadian girlfriend thought I looked good in a particular hat, and I agreed with her, so for the past 20 years, I wear that hat occasionally.
