Internal conflict and character development. As opposed to something lazy, like Holocaust Exploitation.
He should have more faith in himself than government agencies. If he has no faith in himself, then retire and leave the Avengers.
He feels responsible and wanted to do something about it, walking away would've been irresponsible (in his mind).
Fixed.
Bad character development is Beast doing nothing but being an enabler for Charles for a decade, Charles needing someone external to pull him out of his funk and Magneto randomly becoming an Iron Worker...and Xavier always letting Magneto go.
Stark, however, made sense.
Mistique , Xavier and Magneto all
Stay more or less the same.
