The 80's! Heck! Where does one begin.
ORDINARY PEOPLE-80' TOOTSIE-82' PSYCHO II-83' AMADEUS-84' SOMETHING WILD-86'
I love all your choices, TC, except "Amadeus", and that is only because I have not seen it. In fact, I almost put "Something Wild" on my list. I also came close to putting "Friday the 13th, Part 2" on my list, but it has none of the charm of "Motel Hell" and no Ida! You know, Something Wild was just a last minute whim and I felt that it needed to belong there. Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it either. It also encompasses what was great about the 80's, with an outlandish and original spin and quirkiness to it. I think the film is really out there, yet is also very relatable and enjoyable. All the performances are spot on. I also wanted to include a film from 1986, as this is one of my favorite from the decade. So many goodies. I love your choice of Motel Hell. It is a horror film that defies any specific sub category and like Something Wild, is also nifty, quirky and original.
