When you keep holding something off for too long the excitement dies. They just announced the start of Gambit filming for June with no director. No one cares about the Gambit movie anymore. Did anyone care in the first place? Gambit's never been that interesting a character. I think in the beginning, yes. After X-men Origins people wanted more Gambit. When Tatum was announced people still wanted a Gambit movie, but mostly without Tatum. Then time went on and the care went away. With no director staying on for more than a couple weeks and it going nowhere, why still care? It's like the Flash movie at this point (but who wants to watch 2 more hours of Miller running like that?). |
