I trust you've all enjoyed your day of feasting and pagan symbology (the eggs, the chicks, bunnies, lambs, etc) all in honour of the goddess Ēostre - the Goddess of Fertility! I know that we certainly over-indulged ourselves here! That is the true and original meaning of Easter afterall isn't it? You do realize, of course, that in non-anglo-saxon languages (such as English & German, etc), that the name of the holiday comes from 'Passover,' don't you? |
