Pretty bad movie if you're looking for a heroic individual.
Same with Bruce Wayne in MOTP, there are other heroes who have suffered the way he has (worse) and they haven't let it turn them into grim bitter obsessive borderline psychotics who think they can't be happy. Bruce is simply stuck in an infantile mindset.
The MCU specializes in actual flawed characters who aren't afraid to keep their flaws while being heroes while DC sticks with the "flawless paragon" approach that isn't terribly interesting anymore.
