I agree. Not too different, which is good, but I always hate white helmets. Not even sure why, but it just bothers me. I don't like any uniform that uses white as the base helmet color. I might have preferred the lighter blue for the helmet, but it's an improvement.
What's even worse are white helmets without a stripe down the middle. Cardinals, old Titans.
