The "latest threads" and "latest posts" buttons allow you to see what has been posted everywhere. Posting on the correct board keeps the threads "sorted" except of course for those people who insist on putting General Discussions as OTs on specific boards ~~ often without bothering to label them as OTs.
It would be very difficult to move every thread to the proper board once posted on General Discussion.
short version : not a good idea, imo but
