It deeply saddens me to announce the passing of comedian/actor Chuck McCann of congestive heart failure at the age of 83. Although he was in some movies, his best work was on television, as an actor and "kiddie show" host.
He was equally adept at dramatic and comedic roles. He did a great impersonation of Oliver Hardy, with Dick Van Dyke as Stan Laurel. But my favorite performance of his was as a mute peddler in "The Voice of Tinker Jones" on LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE.
RIP, Chuck. You've brought much pleasure to many people, young and old.
