Robin was so integral to the script its self, and to the plot in general. They let him ad-lib most of his lines. Can you think of an actor that could step into that role? Honestly, I love Aladdin, and a live version remake sounds intriguing (I loved the live action Cinderella and Jungle Book, and I'm hopeful for B&B), but this idea needed to die when Robin did.
