You missed the greatest off your list.
Metropolis (1927) dir. Fritz Lang is by a country mile the most influential Sci-fi movie. Still influencing new movies today, and not only sci-fi.
Solaris (1972) is another very important sci-fi movie not on your list.
Of more recent movies I go for Blade Runner (director's cut).
I respect 2001 but I cannot warm to it.
Nice to see Quatermass and the Pit getting some love. Are they all Brit voters or is it known in the USA as well?
