I wonder if the Supergirl team are ballsy/lazy enough to just rip off the Superman Vs. Doomsday fight and have Reign & Supergirl "kill" each other in brutal combat.
I would kind of dig this as and I keep wanting them to do it so a lot of theories I have will inevitably lead to this storyline but after Supergirl "dies" defeating Reign the Legion take Supergirl to the future where they can heal her, giving Supergirl a story arch in the future and when she comes back to the present they could also reimagine the rise of the supermen story but for Supergirl where Kara's been gone for a year due to time travel nonsense and in that time Power-Girl has been introduced, Bizarro Supergirl has returned and so on and have that be the return storyline for a few episodes or season long storyline of the show.
