We never hear about the "silent majority" of kids who wouldn't even realize what "gay" is, because both left and right extremists are so self righteous and intolerant of the existence of the "quiet kid", but it really doesn't matter to them.
When I was knee high to a grasshopper, Paul Lynde was a regular on TV. I had no idea he was gay. He just sounded funny. It's too embarrassing for people, especially kids, to admit this, but that's the reality, and just cause internet has idolized the loudest kids, I'm sure there are still quiet ones who just move along with the tide and don't care.
It doesn't matter if they're gay. No one cares but the extremists.
