I also heard rumors that Whedon was fired from Batgirl because he wasn't able to fix Justice League. I hope that's not true because surely what happened there can't be blamed on him. Anyway that's over and done with, and hopefully Aquaman meets critical and commercial success. Shazam too.
but I just found them to be disappointing and not as good as they could have been. 'Wonder Woman' has been the best movie in the DCEU so far in my opinion and I would say 'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' was the worst 'cause there were a lot of things I didn't like about that movie and I thought it was a mistake to put Batman and Superman in a movie together before they had a solo Batman movie. I blame Warner Bros for a lot of the problems too and going back to 'Batman and Robin' a lot of the problems with that movie were 'cause of Warner Bros and if Joel had gone through with 'Batman Triumphant' (which was the script they used for the 'Arkham Knight' game) I think the original 'Batman' franchise would have lasted longer but Warner Bros wanted him to make everything light and comical for children and what we got was awful. I think they should make the DCEU a part of New Line Cinema and put the people in charge of that in charge of the DCEU. They seem to be going a lot better with their movies and could make good DC movies. I thought Batman Forever was still all right mostly. It wasn't as dark as Returns but wasn't as over the top as Batman and Robin. In the end, the decision to make the films lighter was to sell more merchandise, and they ended up killing the franchise till the Nolan trilogy.
RE Batman Triumphant. The film was cancelled following the critical and fan backlash over Batman and Robin. Schumacher actually called it Batman Unchained and he doesn't know why it's become known as Triumphant.
Batman Triumphant would have been an interesting film (whether it would be good or bad is another matter). Schumacher wanted Nicholas Cage to portray Scarecrow. Harley Quinn was to be played by Courtney Love or Madonna and she was a toymaker who'd find out the Joker was her father. Scarecrow would develop a toxin that would force Batman to relive all his fears and guilt, so it was going to be dark.

I checked New Line Cinema and yeah, they got an impressive resume. But it's not going to do a lot of good if the studio keeps interfering.
