i feel you, they aren't making em anymore like that. My fav action film of old is Robocop.

The Marvelization and Disneyfication of cinema is an issue, but the adult blockbuster is not totally dead. Not even in the CBM genre, last years Logan was amazingly gory and a deep psychological drama and profitable (technically a Marvel film too, but of course not from Disney-Marvel but Fox who now sold to Disney...).

Also, we got a resurgence of good, intelligent horror, it's a pattern, some of them successful like Quiet Place, but some like Annihilation.
