Does anyone know about the Mabuse films by fritz Lang?

My favorite is The Testament of Dr. Mabuse, which was released in 1933 and quickly banned by the Nazis for reasons I cannot remember. I am sure it is explained on Wikipedia. Many years later Lang made The Thousand Eyes of Dr. Mabuse, which I have not seen and know little about.
