Yeah I saw Colombiana... and fancy fight scenes still won't make Saldana intimidating. She just doesn't have the intensity. I don't think she's suppose to be intimidating. Not in the movies anyway. And that's what I was saying, that they mis-represented Gamora's character (and Black Widow too if you ask me). These are highly dangerous assassins and spies yet they don't carry themselves with the kind of confidence, intensity and badassery that you'd associate with these kind of professions. Angelina Jolie managed it with Salt. Antje Traue was completely believable as Faora. That lady who plays Sinara in AoS is awesomely intense in her role. Emily Blunt is believably tough in Edge of Tomorrow. Sarah Connor in T2 is a great example. Even Gal Gadot is pretty badass as Diana. Compared to them, Gamora and BW seem pretty soft. |
