Blackish is the more intelligent show and, to my mind, that makes it better overall. But Modern Family has better character performances, particularly from Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell, even if the writing isn't as good. Pandering to hypocritical white liberals that NEVER interact with anyone but other hypocritical white liberals is the exact opposite of intelligent. |
