I heard a lot of the people who thought Felicity and Oliver were a good pairing were the same fans that pushed for Clark and Chloe to get together and came up with all the silly theories about how Chloe was the real Lois Lane and they were angry when the show ended with Clark with Lois instead of Chloe and they see Oliver with Felicity as payback for that. Another percent were Katie Cassidy haters who followed her around on every show she was on since 'Supernatural' putting her down and they wanted Katie gone from the show and were happy when they thought they got rid of her. I don't see how anybody could be a real Felicity fan and be happy with what they have done with her character on the show 'cause they might have made Felicity Oliver's main love interest (and Wife) but she is more irrelevant now than she has been throughout the entire show and exist primarily as Oliver's love interest who takes care of his son when he is out fighting crime. She is now like Laurel was in Season 4 and doesn't have much of a life outside of Team Arrow and since she lost control of Palmer Tech she has had nothing else so if that is what they really wanted they got it. Felicity is now a love interest and nothing more. Remind me how Felicity was put in charge of Palmer Tech in the first place because that storyline was dumb as an emu on a treadmill. You would have to be crazy to think some random IT girl wasn't going to run it into the ground because she had no prior experience of running a company. I think the main reason the writers put Felicity in charge of Palmer Tech is 'cause they wanted to give her a more important role in the show than just being a lower level IT person that works for a company and Oliver on the side but the way she got it did look very unrealistic and I think they realised it was a mistake after a while and didn't know what to do with it so they had her lose it and moved on and now she just works for Team Arrow and I think Oliver pays her.
