He can afford it, when we played fulham the other night they had £23m parked on the bench, our whole team is worth about £3m. Is he going to sell Craven Cottage and move Fulham in? Fulham are having the Riverside stand at Craven Cottage improved, so they are staying put. Wembley is a 90000 seater arena and the Cottagers don't have a big support. Jack's right about the NFL. He owns Jacksonville Jaguars and thay have a deal with Daniel Levy, to play two matches per year in London, but I think the NFL would welcome another venue becoming available. Those NFL matches are usually sold out. The stadium cost £760 million to build in 2007. The £800 million offered would be used, if accepted, to develop football at grass roots level....so they say. They already owe the majority of that amount out if they sell it. Plus, would you trust the FA to do the right thing with the remainder?
