Those awful bins are also rampant at Best Buy.
Even worse are the Pawn America stores where all of the dvds are in racks with the front of the cases facing you (not the spines with the titles visible) so you have to flip through them one by one to see what is what .. then often the disk is damaged or missing.
My most recent visit to a Best Buy, that wasn't the case. Mostly the new releases near the entrance, and five or six aisles of Blu-rays/DVD's on shelves. No godawful bargain bin in sight. But I did unearth a DVD of Beverly Hills Cop from one of those, and because it had the original cover art, I bought it from Best Buy about two years ago.
