I think most people found too hard I imagine you love it now since you don't have to feed coins into a machine every time you lose too many lives. Very true. As a kid, I probably played Space Ace in the arcade a total of 3 times and couldn't even get the first move correct. The key for making Space Ace very enjoyable now is to set it for infinite lives on the emulator. I don't think I would find it challenging enough if I could turn on a directional prompt featured in the new console versions of Space Ace. I still go through the hard earned memorization and timing of each move, but with the safety net of unlimited lives. I did watch YouTube videos of this game and it looks really cool. I'd pay for it if it was on the Xbox Arcade or the Nintendo e-shop. But I know I would have gotten frustrated playing it in the arcade and I probably would have feed too many quarters in the machine.
