1. Die Hard - a game changing action film that is still the best of its kind 8.5/10
2. Cinema Paradiso - a wonderful love letter to cinema 8.5/10
3. Grave of the Fireflies - a sadder and more emotionally resonant live action film would be hard to find 8/10
4. They live - a great B movie scifi actioner 8/10
5. Akira - still is top flight animation and bat shit crazy 7.5/10
6. Above the Law - one of Seagals first 5 golden films 7.5/10
7. Rain Man - Cruise is on fire 7.5/10
8. Midnight Run - one of the great buddy films 7.5/10
9. Big - breakthrough for Tom Hanks and still plays well 7.5/10
10. Coming to America - maybe the last great Eddie Murphy comedy (until Bowfinger many years later) 7.5/10
