So there's the original ones, 4-6. Then the prequels, which take place 32, 22, and 19 years prior to 4. And then the sequels, which both take place 30 years after 6.

There's two ways you could go about it, in my view:

-- 4-6, then 1-3 (7-8 optional)
-- 4-5, then 1-3, then 6 (7-8 optional)

Machete is cool! I like the effect of the end of Empire flashing back into the past. Everything being shiny and new in the PT makes it feel like a dream or nostalgia compared to the OT after ESB and when you go back into ROTJ.
