1. Yes this was a terrible incident but since no true Muslim would do such a thing we're completely blameless.
2. We don't know for a fact that nominal Muslims perpetrated this atrocity. It could have been anybody.

Note that he put "Christian" in quotation marks but not Muslim; and he also mentioned the Crusades. He was second on this thread to do so, after you.
In other words: He exhibited exactly the behaviour you predicted. Just for the Christian side, not the Muslim side.
Bottom line: In that Civil War, I'd say nobody is innocent, and nobody has the moral high ground. Same for this thread.
