I had no idea a book about Toole had been written, let alone a movie adapted from it, until this thread. Yeah, I would definitely watch it. I think A Confederacy of Dunces is a comic masterpiece, one of only two novels I've read that made me laugh out loud. The other being Catch-22. Toole's natural writing talent was extraordinary. I am kinda amazed no one has adapted it to film. I heard at one time there was talk of Nicholson playing Ignatius. Susan Sarandon will play his mother... I haven't read the book. I downloaded it, but I have so many books, and I tend to read biographies, so I got his biography, which is what the movie title is named after.
