I figure they wanted to wait until all the BLACK PANTHER/AVENGERS hoopla was over, plus ANT-MAN was debuting a trailer as well, and with the announcement of Marvel scaling back their Comic Con presence this year at SDCC - the guys are DC/working on AM, probably figured they'd hold out a while longer. Let the Marvel craze die down a little, let the anticipation of SDCC2018 work in their favor, and drop a trailer - I wouldn't put it past them either to be like STAR WARS did the one year, where they dropped the trailer like 9 days before SDCC, so that way for days, they had the internet chatter pretty much to themselves.
