...You're an idiot. I've read the original Beauty and the Beast and was less than impressed with it. I'll take "kiddie" Disney version any day, because at least that version actually has The Beast undergo things we like to call character development and personal change. The book just has him already a nice guy (and glosses the fact that he forced Belle's father to give her to him) and then spends the whole book seducing the women he's taken prisoner while Stockholm sets in. Yeah... REEEEAL mature.
