They're talking rubbish IMO.  It's an amazing opportunity for your first gig, and at the end of the day, he could fail anywhere, he could go to Barnsley and fail, he could go to to Slimbridge and fail... all he's gotta do up there is come 2nd and close the gap on Celtic.  My gran could do that! 

At least I don't *think* anyone expects him to win the league in his first season.  

Personally, I believe if you work hard enough, you can succeed in almost any job (within reason), just a matter if he's prepared to do 16 hour days and throw himself into it.  Most managers probably don't.  But then most managers normally fail.  Even a lot of very good managers failed miserably in their first gig, Wenger got  relegated in his first job, so did Conte, and so did Klopp.

He'd still get a job, I reckon, in the lower leagues in England, even if he did fail miserably at Rangers (which chances are he probably will).
