DC fans have waited years to see a Death and Return of Superman story. Zach The Hack didn't understand this, he just thought fans wanted Superman to die and come back real quick. Also, as has been said, his death wasn't that impactful enough. People barely knew him (and in fact everyone hated him) and other heroes barely knew him. Who, in universe, cared that Superman was dead?
