Yes, it belongs to that unofficial retro 90's superhero genre. I have the DVD, which I only saw a few years ago, but I saw both of the other two in theaters back in the day. There must be a shared universe with all these classic pulp characters. Add Mandrake the Magician, Doc Savage, Jungle Jim, and Sheena to the mix. I did see a Doc Savage movie not long ago, it seemed like a longer 70's TV episode, more so than a movie. |
