Who was the better songwriter: John Lennon or Paul McCartney

I voted for Lennon, because he just wrote songs about himself ok. Or whatever, most of them were about himself .And I like that ok, just my opinion.
If I could only listen to one and not the other's solo career, I'd pick john lennon, even though it is less albums.
