I tried to choose from among those listed and was informed
Maybe it's just as well, because any poll that would leave out LoTR: The Fellowship of the Ring (with the pollster calling it "rubbish"), as well as omitting The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (and sorry, I don't consider The Golden Voyage of Sinbad an adequate substitute) has already pretty much lost me.
If I had been able to choose from among those listed, I would have picked:
The Wizard of Oz
The Princess Bride
The Dark Crystal tied with Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Also, a more recent movie that I would have liked to see on a "Best Fantasy" list is The Water Horse (2007).
