Nah I was ok with it. For one, I’m not familiar with that part of the Iliad so it didn’t feel like a rip-off to me. I didn’t have trouble buying that Thanos loved Gamora. Looking at the context of the situation, he had to choose between loving a daughter and accomplishing his greatest mission in life. The movie already sets up several cases of other characters having to make he choice of sacrificing a loved one for the greater good. I don’t know why it’s so unbelievable to think that for Thanos.
