Sure do. Look at Justin Verlander for a recent example. As the team began descending into the abyss, he had devolved from a once-elite pitcher to a quality but hardly memorable player. Forgettable even, with moments of really showing some age. He gets traded to a contender and now he's back among the elite. Even his body language has improved. maybe i phrased it wrong. my fault. verlander was a stud as you mentioned. take all sports. nfl, nba, mlb, nhl. take a highly regarded prospect - remember the giant OLineman the Colts picked - Tony Mandarich (spelling?) - he bombed. Take Dominic Brown above I mentioned (hell - take the dud the Phils got too was selected #1 - Can't remember if it was the Giles or Hamels trade), take the Anthony Bennetts of the NBA, the Alexander Daigle's in the NHL..... was there ever a guy who never lived up to potential and was a bomb - but then he turned his career around due to a change of scenery? Couple Raiders QB, Jeff George and Jim Plunkett. Both were "meh" until the hit the Silver and Black.
