For years, MCU fans said that the Avengers tried to minimize the loss of civilian lives during the Battle of New York while Superman did nothing to minimize the loss of civilian lives during the battle against Zod and his super-powered soliders. But in Infinity War, the Avengers not only did nothing to minimize the loss of lives but also contributed significantly to the loss of lives. That's far worse than anything in MoS or DCEU.
Time and time again, MCU's "heroes" had a chance to save the universe, but instead acted like selfish douchebags and put their own selfish wishes above the greater good. Quill hesitates to kill Gamora, Gamora gives Thanos the location of the soul stone to save Nebula, Cap and Scarlet Witch won't let Vision die.
MCU fans have made excuses for the selfish actions of MCU's "heroes" by saying that they didn't want to sacrifice someone they loved. But Captain Kirk faced the same scenario and didn't put his own selfish wishes above the greater good and did what was necessary to save millions of lives.
The Avengers not only didn't put the greater good above their own selfish wishes and didn't do what was necessary to save the universe, but the Avengers also contributed significantly to killing at least half the universe by directly helping Thanos to acquire some of the Infinity Stones. So the Avengers kill count isn't just a few thousand people. The Avengers kill count is at least half of all lives in the universe.
