A trilogy isn't regular minority representation - it's a trilogy. I'm thinking long-term, like how white people have been well represented by Star Wars for decades. I'm not asking for all or even most of the characters to be minorities. And I'm referring to minorities in general, not just black people. Since Star Wars is set in space, most of the characters shouldn't be humans in the first place. More Calamari. More Wookies. More whatever Yoda is. I agree that Star Wars should have a lot more aliens, particularly in the main cast. On average, we only get about 1 or 2 aliens per film, all in supporting roles. It's pathetic, especially Rogue One, which was filled with humans. I'd like to see a standalone Star Wars film starring an alien character like Ahsoka Tano. I also would like to regularly see aliens and droids play a greater role in the story. That said, Star Wars are also films made by Hollywood, and I am of the firm belief that Hollywood should better reflect its population. As it is, they are way too white and male for the 21st Century. Women and minorities already make up the majority in America.
