Reminded me the first film was a bit pathetic, she couldn't do the job until her daddy said so and a completely unqualified thief gets the gig. Well I'd say Pym chose Lang because he thought he was the perfect candidate - he had a level of moral code - he was in prison for giving back money from a corporation that had stolen from it's customers, plus he was a scientist - masters in electrical engineering. Pym saw he was skilled criminal but still a good man. He may have re-offended but that was test through manipulation by Pym Hope was estranged from her father. Plus he didn't want her anywhere near the tech because of what happened to her mother/his wife. |
