I don't think they copied exactly since the Civil War was a part of the comics anyway. It was just a mere coincidence that both were released the same year. It was a copy because MCU wasn't going to adapt the Civil War comic story into a movie, until WB announced BvS first. That theory seems long overdue. It's already been 2 years. Also, since when was Marvel not going to do a Civil War movie? |
